About us
The Catalysis Society of China (CSC) was founded in 1985. It is an academic and non-profit organization and composed of catalytic researchers from universities, research institutions, and industrial community of China. It aims to promote and encourage the growth and development of catalysis; to organize and participate in academic activities in all areas of catalysis; and to provide liaison with foreign catalysis societies, with the International Congress on Catalysis, and with other scientific organizations and individuals.
Activities of the CSC
• Congress. The CSC holds National Congress on Catalysis of China every two years since 1981, which is the largest meeting on catalysis in China with usually more than 3,000 participants.
• Transaction of the CSC. Since September 2008, the Chinese Journal of Catalysis has been the transaction of the CSC.
• Awards. To reward the academic achievements and outstanding contributions of Chinese catalysis scientists, and to promote the development of catalysis in China, the CSC established the “China Catalysis Award” in 2006 which includes the “Catalysis Achievement Award of China” (named “Zhang Dayu Award”) and “Catalysis Youth Award of China”; in 2012, the CSC has added “Catalysis Rookie Award of China” to the “China Catalysis Award”. Now, this Award has become the most prestigious award in the field of catalysis in China.
